Description
Opening of the Puniho Native School on Wednesday 22 April 1903. Native Minister James Carroll officially opened the school and a large hangi was held in celebration. A large tent with three flags flying from its ridge line is pictured between two wooden buildings. A group of seven figures stand in front of the tent and another figure is visible standing apart from the group on the right. Several horses with carts are pictured in the foreground.
