Credit line
Badges like this one were awarded to participants at Camp Challenge, which was run by the New Plymouth YMCA at the old North Egmont Chalet. The YMCA used the building in the 1970s as a camp site, public dining room and accommodation. The camp was an advancement for those who had been through the Camp Huinga programme and wanted something more challenging. It was attended by 12-15 year olds.
