Description
A large City of New Plymouth crest made from numerous pieces of linoleum which have been cut and fitted together and mounted on a piece of Hessian backing covered by thin black cardboard on the bottom. " CITY OF NEW PLYMOUTH " is written in black in a decorative border around the crest. " MAURI MAHI / MAURI ORA " is written in black on a red scroll below the crest which is divided into four quadrants by a Southern Cross design and features a cow, a ship, the Southern Cross plane in flight over Mount Taranaki / Egmont, and a hei tiki.
