Mary Johnson [not Johnstone] [b 3 Dec 1836, d 7 Sep 1931] is the eldest child of John & Mary; her husband Alex Telfar [b 23 Mar 1836, d 17 Oct 1902] was the blacksmith at Urenui. As the local midwife Mary delivered Sir Peter Buck. Taranaki Museum has a Maori cloak she was presented with… Acquisition #879999. [Mary is the sister of my gr-grandfather, Lt Wm Johnson.]
