This
tripot
was
used
at
either
Dicky
Barrett's
or
Richard
Brown's
whaling
station
in
the
1840s.
It
was
encased
in
a
brick
oven
and
had
a
fire
underneath
which
melted
chunks
of
whale
blubber
and
the
oil
overflowed
into
another
tripots.
It
was
then
bailed
into
barrels.
