Converted ex-army Bren-gun carriers used as hedgecutters and sweepers by Butler Bros, hedgecutting contractors, Inglewood. The hedgecutter on the left cuts a hedge and the sweeper collects the cut branches. The number three cutter is driven by Rex and the number three sweeper is driven by Lou. The blade of the cutter can be seen moving and cutting the bush. The cutter has "L Butler, Inglewood, PAT 96200" on the side.

Kahui Road Creamery with man pictured on horse in front of creamery building. He holds an object under one arm. Another man is visible standing in the opening in the side of the building. There is a dog to the left side of him. This was the first factory on the Upper Kahui Road on the same site as the present factory. It was built by Jacob Rothery about 1895. The creamery later became part of the Crown Dairy Company.

The male attendants hold a flag with an Egyptian painting on it. The front of a second decorated car can be seen on the left of the photograph. An audience is gathered on the terraces behind the car. The decorated car won first prize.
