Copy photograph of Colonel G.J. Carey. Carey was Second in Charge of the Imperial Forces in New Zealand in 1861. He is shown from the chest up with his photograph cut out and pasted onto a round piece of paper. Carey appears to be wearing military uniform and he has a moustache and full beard. Framed memorial photograph distributed by the Director of Graves Registration & Enquiries of Private Charles Lawrence Sattler's grave. Sattler was killed in action October 30th, 1916. On the right side is a silver gelatin photograph of Private Sattler's grave which consists of a white wooden cross inscribed with the following details: "In Memory of 157 84 Pte C. L. Sattler 2nd W.I.B. NZEF Killed in Action Oct. 30 1916." "E.Z. 6" in inscribed lower left corner of photograph. On the left side is the official documentation from the Director of Graves Registration & Enquiries which provides the following information:

This is the Saunders-Roe Cutty Sark used by the NZ Permanent Air Force (predecessor to the RNZAF) in the early 1930s. Based at Hobsonville, it was used for general duties and carried out the first recorded air-sea rescues in New Zealand.

View of The Camphouse at North Egmont, Mount Taranaki. The Camphouse is pictured in the middleground and the foreground is dominated by large tree stumps. Mount Egmont, covered in snow, is visible in the background. The Camphouse was one of several buildings purpose-built to serve as military barracks during the Taranaki Wars and was previously sited on Marsland Hill during the Wars. It is the only surviving military barracks from this period. In 1891 it was moved to North Egmont for accommodation purposes.

Photograph of Ann Burgess memorial afternoon tea for returned servicemen, held in the New Plymouth army drill hall, circa 1950s-1960s. Large tables are set up for afternoon tea. Tables in the foreground are largely empty and are decorated with vases of flowers. The tables in the background are full with mostly men dressed in suits. Ann Burgess, M.B.E., was the wife of former New Plymouth Mayor Charles H. Burgess. She was well known for establishing the Women's Patriotic Committee during WWI and the ANZAC Day afternoon teas at the New Plymouth drill hall, which commenced in 1918 and continued under her direction until the organisation of the event was handed over to the New Plymouth Returned Services Association in 1947.

Photograph of the plan of the Turuturu Mokai Redoubt in Hawera. Plan depicts the redoubt as it was in 1868 before it was attacked by Hauhaus on 12 July. The plan shows various aspects of the redoubt including the placement of tents, guard rooms, Captain Ross's whare outside the redoubt walls, and even the location of what was presumed to be Ross's heart after he was killed during the ambush. The plan has been adhered to brown coloured card.
