Name/Title
Copy photograph of Colonel G.J. Carey. Carey was Second in Charge of the Imperial Forces in New Zealand in 1861. He is shown from the chest up with his photograph cut out and pasted onto a round piece of paper. Carey appears to be wearing military uniform and he has a moustache and full beard. The photograph is included on page 27 of William Francis Robert Gordon's album "Some "Soldiers of the Queen" who served in the Maori Wars and Other Notable Persons Connected Herewith".

Framed memorial photograph distributed by the Director of Graves Registration & Enquiries of Private Charles Lawrence Sattler's grave. Sattler was killed in action October 30th, 1916. On the right side is a silver gelatin photograph of Private Sattler's grave which consists of a white wooden cross inscribed with the following details: "In Memory of 157 84 Pte C. L. Sattler 2nd W.I.B. NZEF Killed in Action Oct. 30 1916." "E.Z. 6" in inscribed lower left corner of photograph. On the left side is the official documentation from the Director of Graves Registration & Enquiries which provides the following information:

Eleven men are gathered in two rows against the wall of a building. The back row has eight men in it, all are standing. The front row has three men, all seated. The man in the middle of the front row is more formally dressed than the other men, he wears a coat, scarf, waistcoat, tie and watch chain and is holding a hat and walking stick. There is a large round of cheese resting against this man's legs. The label on the cheese reads "NEW ZEALAND PRODUCE / REG NO: / LBS NET / KAPONGA / NO: / DATE / FULL CREAM FACTORY CHEESE."

A post-card photograph showing the wooden buildings of the Kaponga Creamery. The buildings are single-storied and have pointy chimneys. Another darker toned wooden structure is visible to the left of the photograph, this is raised on stilts and has a large round vat attached to it. There are two horse-drawn carts, each with a man in it and trays filled with barrels, near this raised structure. A further cart, empty and without horses lies furher to the right. A telegraph pole dominates the right hand side of the composition. There is a pile of timber on the left hand side of the photograph.
