A 75 gram fragment of the Mokoia meteorite. The fragment has a black fusion crust and a slightly rounded shape. Numerous white Calcium Aluminium Inclusions are visible on the surface. It appears as though a sample of the meteorite has been sliced off one side.

A Mineral Specimens of New Zealand box set which contains 96 small mounted samples of rocks and minerals, each which are named with a printed label. Many of these labels also include location information. The box is rectangular with a hinged lid and is covered with an embossed gold coloured paper. The hinged lid is lined and fitted with a label on the top and underside which features a hei tiki design. " MINERAL SPECIMENS / OF / NEW ZEALAND " is marked on the label along with fern and kowhaiwhai type patterns. " SET X1 / CARNEGIE " 96 PIECES " is marked on a paper label stuck to the underside of the lid.

Name/Title
Piece of brown fulgurite, shaped similar to a tree branch. The cylindrical shape of the main rock curves and then branches into two sections at the end. The fulgurite has a rough, uneven surface. There are variations in the brown colouring, from light tan to deep red, and light-coloured flecks visible overall. The larger end has a melted, lumpy texture to the centre.
