The plaintiff claims in 1860, her tribe owned blocks of land between Tikirangi and Rauotehuia and in 1868, the Government of New Zealand unlawfully issued a crown grant for the land to John Henry Armstrong and then to S.J. Cox. The plaintiff wishes for the land to be declared native land and her case to be referred to the Native Appellant Court.
