Map of the Colony of New Zealand from Official Documents by John Arrowsmith 1850, belonging to Frederic Alonzo Carrington. It is thought that Carrington purchased the map in London before returning to New Zealand in 1857.
The map was published on 2 July 1850 by John Arrowsmith, 10 Soho Square, London. Showing the three islands 'New Ulster', 'New Munster' and 'New Leinster', including geographical features and locations of some towns. Small world map in bottom right corner. Inscribed 'Fred. A. Carrington' bottom right corner. Includes a case with inscriptions 'F.A. Carrington' and 'J.M. Deacon'.

Carrington between the years 1840 and 1846. Inscription: 'W.H. Skinner Esq., with kind regards from his old friend O. Carrington, Taranaki".
