An illuminated address to George Mackie. The illuminated address was presented to Mackie on 13 August 1908 by members of the district of Kaimata after he was dissmissed from his job as manager of the Kaimata Creamery.
The document states:
"To George Mackie, Esq.
We the undersigned residents in the neighbourhood of Inglewood and Kaimata wish to express our appreciation of the active part you have taken in all public matter in the Kaimata district during the ten years you have resided at that place, and of the kindly feelings which have always existed between us.
We realise that the success which has attended all the public functions which with you have been connected has been largely due to the energy and business ability which you have displayed.
Some of us are shareholders in the Moa Farmers Co-op Dairy Co., Ltd. and some of us are also suppliers to the Kaimata Creamery belonging to that company and we particularly wish to express our regret at the circumstances which have resulted in our losing your services as Manager at that creamery, a position which you have filled for ten years with unqualified success.
To Mrs. Mackie and yourself we all wish to tender our best wishes for a happy and prosperous future wherever your lot may be cast.
We are, Dear Sir, yours very truly

Two butterfat registers for an unknown dairy factory, most likely in South Taranaki (possibly Riverdale). Registers cover periods 1921-1922 and 1922-1923. They record surnames of those supplying milk and the amount of butterfat obtained.

Research compiled by Pam Bromley relating to Peter Peterson. Peterson settled in Hawera and purchased 400 acres of land which he named “Springhill” c. 1873. During the 1880s an old house at Springhill was converted into a dairy factory, which was home to one of the first separators in the region. The dairy factor supplied Bell Brand butter to Wellington and later to England.

Information includes location of dairy factory, legal description of the site, brief history of the factory and present factory details (as at 1983-1984) such as owner/s, usage, condition, zoning and recommendations of improvements to site. Also included are photographs of the factories from various angles.
Factories surveyed in the Whanganui region are Whangaehu, Rangitikei, Rata, Okoia, Westmere, Kai Iwi, Rapanui, Taihape and Raetihi. Proposed architectural plan for the combined butter and cheese factory at Kaupokonui Cooperative Dairy Factory. The plan was designed by architecture firm Rough & Duffill in 1911 after a portion of the Kaupokonui factory was destroyed by fire in 1910.
