Sister Grant poses a stone wall at the entrance to the Opunake Cottage Hospital on Layard Street, Opunake. Sister Grant is dressed in a light-toned nurses' uniform and headdress. The hospital is a single-storied building with arched windows and entrance ways at the front. The hospital was built in 1922.

Copy photograph of a sketch of the Reverend William Bolland. The image is a bust portrait of Bolland. He is wearing a shirt, jacket and bow tie. Bolland was the first Vicar of St Mary's Church (now Taranaki Cathedral). He arrived in Auckland on March 1843 and was appointed vicar on 3 December 1843.
