A black and white charcoal drawing depicting an old building resembling part of a castle, with a tall arch, stones and bolders in foreground and a house in the centre left. Paper has been split in half. Remaining watermark has "TMAN / 80". (TM.2002.346 is a larger watercolour, and has the same watercolour mark in full). Drawing is not signed. Rear has rough outline sketch of same scene. Possibly Miss H Lackworthy is the artist.

Vegetable caterpillar, more commonly known as the lava of the moth Sphink convolvuli or in Māori pēpe. The larva is infected with a a parasitic fungus named Cordiceps robertsii. Catapillar is visibly thicker at one end.
