Photographic copy of pencil sketch of Titokowaru at Mangaone kainga, Sunday 22 March 1885. Titokowaru is seated on the ground, he is holding his knees in his arms. In front of him is a plate of bread, a bowl, and a teacup. He has a long beard and is not wearing shoes. The sketch depicts a meeting between Maori and Europeans called by Titokowaru in 1885.

Photograph of an original carte-de-visite of the bust of Captain F. Ross who was killed at Turuturumokai in July 1868. Ross's portrait is framed in an oval. He is dressed in a suit and is looking toward the right. The original is part of the W.F. Gordon collection at Te Papa in Wellington.
