Katere Ki Te Moana kāinga [village] can be seen on the hill in distance. Where the encampment is located has become the Rewarewa reserve. Plaque on frame reads: "Easter Encampment Waiwakaiho 1887 / Troops returning from a fight / At Bell Block / presented to the Taranaki Rifle Volunteers by Mr Halcombe".
