Name/Title
A large multi-coloured street banner promoting the Taranaki Festival of the Arts. The banner features a stylised profile of Mount Taranaki / Egmont in many different colours. " TARANAKI FESTIVAL / OF THE ARTS" is written in large white letters near the top of the banner. " 27 JUL-14 AUG 2005 / WWW.ARTSFEST.CO.NZ " is written in white near the bottom. A white section at the bottom features the sponsors logo of the Practical Education Institute. A cardboard label which reads "FLAGMAKERS/MADE IN NEW ZEALAND" is sewn onto one edge of the banner. This label also includes washing instructions. A section of black, heavy material at the top has been stitched to allow a pole to pass through it.

Jack Wood was a local artist and signwriter with his own small business, "Wood Sign Service". He spent many hours painting advertisements on the small businesses and delivery vans around New Plymouth and Taranaki.
